2) Neighborhood Beautification

  • Capitol Corridor Improvements – AWM is looking to be a showcase destination and catalyst to help spark an interest in development and revitalization of the areas surrounding our facility.
  • Mural Artwork – Part of this beatification effort involves improving building facades along local arterial corridors by commissioning local artists to design and produce murals for neighboring businesses that have buildings with walls facing these corridors. The artwork will reflect either a promotional aspect of the business’ industry or if desired, a conceptual design promoting history, wellness, education, cultural celebration and or State or City related attributes.
  • Decorative Fence Panels – For businesses and common areas that have unsightly fencing surround properties and or parking lots, graphic fabric panels will be offered to add a touch of décor and privacy.
  • Specialty Projects –AWM may select a neighboring business to help improve their facility’s aesthetics that do not fall within the general outline of the Neighborhood Beautification effort.

3) Community Appreciation

  • Food and Concession Trucks – Periodically through out the year AWM will invite local restaurants and food vendors on-site to offer area residents and businesses select food and drinks for breakfast and lunch. For special occasions AWM will host and cover the food and beverage costs and at other times provide a subsidized and discounted meal offer to qualifying customers, residents, and business neighbors.

A Different Perspective

Navigating Life 101 – Guaranteed to change your life! This seasonal program teaches the concept of sailing as a metaphor for navigating life experiences. Participants will learn basic sailing skills through a combination of on-the-water lessons and from reading the ASA 101(Basic Keel Boat) course book. Our program introduces the perspective of how to accomplish goals and enhance relationships though the use of sailing philosophies. Project Management, Team Building, and Ministry concepts make up the basic foundation of this program. For those participants that display a genuine interest in sailing, AWM will pay for the costs associated with attaining their ASA 101 Certification at Lake Pleasant.
